Holland 2
8th Oct - Heelsum to Den Haag - 120 klms

Jaap's daughter Yvonne and granddaughter Naomi called into visit
and joined us for the day to Madurodam in Den Haag. Madurodam is the smallest
town in the Netherlands. Everything is precisely 25 times smaller than in
reality. Several of the models have moving parts and most of Holland's landmarks
are all here in the one place. It was a very pleasant and fascinating day.

9th Oct - Heelsum to Munster, Germany - 350 klms round trip

We set out in bright sunshine for Germany, it wasn't far to the
border. The most noticeable change was the speed limit in Germany.. they
don't have one !!!! It's open slather on the highways...go as fast as you
like....weeeeeeee. We called stopped at a little town called Wesel for coffee.
The whole time I was Holland they serve really small cups of coffee, but in
Germany...oh boy you get a soup bowl full...lol need 2 hands to hold it...lol

We then moved on to Munster, we parked then walked to the town
centre taking in the sights. We found a nice restaurant for lunch and enjoyed
the sunshine and a German beer...lol Was then time to walk some more and we
visited 2 churches, St Paulus Dom and St Lamberti which is the tallest church in
the world 161.53m. They were both simply stunning inside, as have most of the
churches been in Europe. We then bought some German bread and headed back to car
for drive home. The drive through the country roads was very picturesque too,
passing by an Abbey on the way home. We detoured a little to go through Arnhem
and down by the Rhine, Jaap just had to point out the ship docked there, all
painted up like a zebra, was a drug ship where all the locals get their
supplies.

Friday was a relaxing day resting up for our night out with
Michiel aka Giddy. We were meeting up with him in Oss for dinner, the drive was
so pretty with the sunset. We picked up Michiel and off to the restaurant, and
yes Juanita the first thing I did was deliver the kiss you requested...lol
definately put a smile on his face....lol After Michiel translated the whole
menu to me in English we enjoyed a really nice meal and I tried Belgium beer
this time. Not being a beer expert they all taste the same to me...some just
pack a bigger punch...lol but I'm learning...lmao We all enjoyed a wonderful
evening with heaps of laughs during and after dinner when I spotted a bronze
statue outside. I drove Michiel home and we had the guided tour of his
apartment. Was great to meet up with you Michiel and you have the claim to fame
of being the last addict Lozzy met on tour #75.

Saturday we set off to Amsterdam, we drove to Ede
and then boarded the train to Amsterdam Centraal Station. We picked up a map of
the city and the set off on foot to tour what we could. Amazingly our first stop
was the Sex Museum... I had said to everyone along the way I don't want to tour
museums...welllllllllll...this one was kinda different...lmfao. I think the pics
says it all.... it showed all aspects of sex ...Barbee there was no 10 footer to
ride ... but I found one close to that.... lmao. We left there with smiles on
our faces in search of the next adventure. Amsterdam is a very busy city with
heaps of tourists and bicycles ..oh boy I'm sure there are more bicycles in
Holland than cars, even the train station had more parking space for them than
it did for cars...lol. We paused for a bit to watch a street performer, he was
from New Orleans then we kept walking towards Anne Frank House, past a police
exhibition and yes I found 2 cute ones...lol a bicycle cop and another one...lol.
Finally we found Anne Frank House but the queue was so long we moved on. Jaap
just happened to find a stall that sold herring, and I just had to try it. Omg
the thought of eating raw fish almost made me gag, luckily it was in a bread bun
and that helped a bit. After all it didn't taste too bad, as long as I didn't
look at it...lmao. We kept walking and sure enough just happened to stumble
across the ' Red Light District. I don't know how many 'Coffee Shops' we passed,
but boy they didn't smell like coffee... lmao. And no I wasn't tempted to try
any...lol. Kaiva found a place to get a manicure so we left her and Jaap and I
kept sight seeing for a while. He finally found some red lights.... unbelievable
some of the girls were only kids... nice bodies tho but just kids....lol Jaap
was happy he finally saw some girls to perve on...lmao As it got darker more and
more red lights were visible. Was then off for some dinner, we dined at a really
nice restaurant before heading back to the train for home. I've come to the
conclusion that Amsterdam is full of sex n weed !!!! I had a really nice day and
enjoyed the sights of Amsterdam, thanks Jaap and Kaiva.

Phil's wife #4 ..lmao
