6/7th August - Las Vegas to Stockton - 490 miles

Said our farewells to Vegas around midday and set off back towards Stockton. We spent the night at the foot of the Sierra Mountains in Bishop. Next morning our feat was to tackle those mountains via Yosemite National Park. We passed over one range, then approaching the next it appeared we were heading into storms, but the rain was minimal and didn't effect us too much.

As we climbed to 9,945 feet into Yosemite the scenery was ever changing and the traffic thicker with people from all over, especially rock climbers to take on the huge rock faces. Needless to say we gave that exercise a miss !!!!

I finally got Mama safely back home in Stockton, and we both needed a well deserved rest !!!!! Had dinner with the family yet again, then off to bed for an early night.

Mama's version of her time on the road with Lozzy

While warming the co-pilot seat in Lozzy's magnificent travel machine, I laugh to myself several times daily.
If you had any idea what travel with Lozzy is like, I'm not sure you would believe it. Just let me tell you.
I suggested that she patent the technique for drive-by photos. There is no one I know of that is better.
Talk about multi tasking! Traffic is never a problem for her. She can drive the car, smoke, talk on the phone,
drink her coffee, visit with me and take pictures all at the same time.
There is not a guard rail or tree that can get in her way when she is determined to get a good shot.
Next thing you know she will be running a tourney from the car at the same time she is driving.
Lozzy, thanks for not doing that while I was in the car!

After many years of laughing and crying with this incredible woman how wonderful
it was to get to spend some real time with her. She is "wonder woman" with a real heart and a compassion to take
care of others. Her generosity is unmatched. I, like many of you have been blessed. Together we have gone through
so much even though we live thousands of miles from each other. She helped me through my illnesses,
talked with me about the loss of our mothers, happy and sad times with our children, always there for a hug when I
needed one, never to busy to just listen.

How do you thank someone who came into your life and made a real difference? You just keep on loving them and that
is what I intend to do. Lozzy, I hope the rest of your life journey has you rotflyao. (Rolling on the floor laughing
your ass off)

9th August - Stockton to Lake Tahoe and return - 312 miles

I set out to Zephyr Cove at Lake Tahoe, to meet up with Curt #2 aka tahoemnts. On arriving I was met by Curt and his 6 yr old son Damian, with a rose for Lozzy. Damian is the cutest kid and I can see why Dad is so proud of him. After a bite to eat and a play in the sand on the beach, we boarded the Woodwind and set sail on the lake. I've never seen a lake so vibrant blue, the waters were so clear and the color just superb. Yes Curt you are right it is the jewel of the Sierras !!! After relaxing on the water for approx 2 hrs taking it all in, including the sun was time to head back to Stockton. I had a wonderful day thanks Curt and Damian it was a joy to meet you both and thanks heaps !!!

On route back to Stockton I called into Pollock Pines and caught up with Randy aka JacksRMine. We met at the restaurant and chatted away for a few hours and was nice to just sit and talk. We did eventually order dinner and chatted some more before it was time to leave and hit the road for home. It was nice to finally meet up with you Randy and thanks again for dinner and I enjoyed your company.

12/13th August - Stockton to Santa Ana - 476 miles

I finally said my farewells to Mama and her family. Thanks so much Mama, Jennifer, Jeff, Christian and Alexis for sharing your home and your company with me. I set out on my last driving leg of the USA, I detoured through Redwood City and right up to the front desk of Pogo. Well that's as far as I got ...the front desk...lol. If I wanted to speak to anyone with authority I had to have an appointed and you guessed it none were available. I was then told customer service issues were handled by the office in Texas.....go figure !!! Can't do anymore but try...lol. I made it safely back to Kerry's in Santa Ana after doing the full loop !!! I've spent most of my time since arriving here doing as little as possible...lol. I did go to Bunko with Kerry last Thursday evening at her sister Kelly's shooting range. What an experience that was !!!. I have never been a gun lover nor ever even held one, guns are illegal in my state at home. After doing the training course it was time to put all in practice on the range. We were all given a box of 50 bullets and a 38 caliber revolver. I lined up my target for the 1st shot....shaking like a leaf mind you...lol then fired !!!! BANG !!!! I yelled OH SHIT !!!!! I turned around with gun in hand,  frightened the living shit outta the women behind me...lmao And yes by the way I did hit my target...lol. I fired off around 30 rounds with pretty good results, I was totally exhausted. I am sure I will never be an Olympic pistol shooter...lmao. Thanks heaps Kelly for the experience it was awesome!!!

Monday I sold my car weeeeeeeee, although was sad to see my home away from home for the past 3 months gone...lol. I put together some statistics in case any of you ever think of attempting to do what I have just done.... I travelled 18,731 miles or 28,968 kilometers with a fuel cost bill of $2,715.76. The cheapest fuel was $3.26.9 a gallon in Arizona on day 1, and most expensive was $6.19 a gallon in California. Covered 32 states of America and 6 provinces of Canada. I have met 66 Addicts plus another 10 friends and their families so far. To all those I didn't get to meet I'm sorry, there is still time for some of you...lol

Most of my time back at Kerry's I spent chilling out and resting up for the rest of my adventure. On Saturday we ventured to Disneyland, was a whole family affair, Kerry, Paul, Kerry's Mom, Paul's Dad, Kerry's sister Kelly and her son Coltin, and of course me...lol. Kerry n Paul's daughter Renee works at Disneyland as Alice in Wonderland so of course she was our star attraction for the day. We arrived just in time to catch her 1st performance for the day before seeing the attractions. It was great just being there, I stopped back to watch the parade down Main Street before venturing across to the other park. I caught up with Mickey n Minnie for a photo shoot before I grouped back with the others. Kerry, Coltin and I stayed back to take in some rides and another parade. Leading that parade was Lightning MacQueen from the Cars movie.....Dalton's favorite !!!! It would have been great if my boys had of been with me, but I still enjoyed never the less. I then bit the bullet and weakened to ride the Roller Coaster....all 3 of us climbed aboard, with Kerry n Coltin sitting in the very front seat, I strapped myself in behind and paired up with a cute little girl who would have been about 8 years old. As we approached the loop she said to me.....hang on lady we going upside downnnnnn...lmao she was so cute. When we finally stopped I'll never forget the beam on her face as if to say...yeahhhhh we made it !!!!! After the roller coaster I slowed down the pace to the extreme...you guessed it...the carousel..lol. We also did the water ride and yep got soaked...lol Was a fun day.

Sunday is spent most of the day packing, I ended up with having to ship 3 boxes home of memories and goodies I had bought along the way. At night we dined out at Newport Beach, and they surprised me with an early birthday dessert.

I had set up my office in Kerry's back yard, looked like a bomb hit it when I attempted to pack...lmao

My last night in California was spent being entertained by Terry Fator winner of last years America's Got Talent. This guy was incredible and so talented not only with his ventriliquist skills but also awesome voice as a singer. Was a really enjoyable fun evening.

I said my farewell's to Kerry and Paul at the airport was kinda sad to say bye to you Kerry and thanks so much for everything you and your family did for me while I was there. Love you heaps.

Stay tuned for Florida pics...coming soon...lol
